ABOUT US

The Dorset Bridge Choir was born during lockdown.  We learnt, rehearsed and recorded ourselves in our own homes in order to produce finished online performances.  So even though we couldn't be together, we could make music together.  By the time life returned to normal, singing together had become so important to us that we just had to continue.

We focus mainly on newer and less well-known choral works, and have given several first performances.  We rehearse in the village of Sturminster Marshall, in the beautiful county of Dorset, although our singers come from as far afield as Warminster, Salisbury, Dorchester and Swanage.

CONCERT 2026
"Journeys"

THANK YOU to everyone who came and supported our performance.  The concert was a rip-roaring success.  The choir was brilliant and so was our wonderful semi-chorus.  All our instrumentalists did a fantastic job.  Fiona Waters, the eminent poetry anthologist, read beautifully as always.  And last but not least our lovely soprano soloist Caren Courts sounded gorgeous.

The music took us on all sorts of journeys - through the seasons of the year, the sun's journey through day and night, a walk through a garden, through our wonderful world, and through life.

All in all, a resounding success.  But we can't afford to take a breather because preparations for our Christmas concert on Sunday 13th December, in St Mary's church, Sturminster Marshall, will soon be underway.  Watch this space for further details.
